Waseem Ashfaq – Professional Profile
I, Waseem Ashfaq am a graduate from Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab and a Chartered Accountant since 1994. I completed my articles from Ford Rhodes Robson Morrow, Chartered Accountants (now called, EY Ford Rhodes). During my career, I have worked with business groups of Saudi Arabia like E. A. Juffali & Bors. Group, ZAD Investment Company and Saudi Binladin Group in senior finance positions. I also held senior finance positions in Descon Group, Pak Telecom Company, textile sectors and worked for various projects funded by USAID and Norwegian Embassy as Chief Financial Officer. I was associated with SECP and PTCL as Director during 2001 to 2006. Thus, gained an opportunity to apply good knowledge of financial management policies and corporate affairs of large business houses and international donor agencies.
Currently, I am associated with a firm of chartered accountants since July 2011, representing McMillan Woods International Limited (MCMWI) in Pakistan, being In-charge of Lahore office of the firm and mainly engaged in Assurance and Consulting assignments of Listed companies, Private companies, Microfinance institutions, Multi-national Organizations, NGOs, INGOs and NBFCs. Our firm, through its six (6) partners, all vary senior & experienced chartered accountants, and experts in their areas, operate from offices in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The firm is a QC rated firm and included in list of audit firms maintained by Audit Oversight Board, Pakistan.
