Following the unfortunate postponement of the EMEA Regional Meeting in Amsterdam we have scheduled a replacement Virtual Members’ Meeting to take place on the same date, Friday, May 21st at 11am – 2pm using Zoom. Further details will follow soon.

This meeting will run for a 3-hour period on a single day using Zoom, with a combination of breakout rooms for networking and guest speakers delivering technical content.

Due to the inevitable issues with bringing members together across multiple time zones, the only feasible option for cross time-zone meetings is to hold them from 11:00-14:00 GMT.

Keynote Speakers
We will be utilising breakout rooms within the event to give you a choice of which of the concurrent keynote session you will join on the day, while both sessions will be available on our website after the event.

Professor Connson Locke – Developing Your Power and Influence
Professor Connson Chou Locke joined the Department of Management of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2008 where she teaches Leadership, Organisational Behaviour and Negotiation and Decision Making. Connson was awarded the LSE Department of Management’s Outstanding Teaching Contribution Award in 2013 and was highly commended for Inspirational Teaching in the LSE Student-Led Teaching Excellence Awards 2015 and 2017. Her research focuses on leadership, power and influence in organisations. Themes include nonverbal communication, gender and leadership and organisational culture and change.

Where does power come from? How can we influence people who have more power than we do and convince them to listen to us? In this keynote session, Professor Locke will answer these questions, explain what makes some people more influential than others, and share the secrets of making a strong personal impact. She will take you through the latest research on leadership, power and nonverbal communication, and the signals that contribute to perceptions of charisma and confidence, as well as the challenges that people – especially women – face in leadership positions. Drawing on material from her new book, Making Your Voice Heard, Professor Locke will provide practical tips for how to build your bases of power, influence others, and make your voice heard.

Conference Fees
While it is necessary to charge a small fee to cover the cost of running this event, the pricing will be per member firm, rather than per delegate, and we encourage you to share the details of this event with everybody at your firm. No fees need to be paid upfront, and those firms in attendance will be invoiced after the event.
